I came to the carthusian order by their spirituality and their love of God in the silence. I read a lot about them in the last 3 or 4 years: Guiges' "Coutumes" and "méditations", Augustin Guillerand's biography etc...also eastern orthodox sprituality (around the "philocalie") was a great help in pursuing my relationship with God. I am becoming an oblate to the benedictine abbey of St-Benoit-du-lac, it is my way of following a monastic call and not betraying my artistic vocation (at least it is our i understand God's calling). There is much to do in our world to restaure to holliness of Beauty (as in H.U. von Balthasar's "Gloire et la Croix" ).
I live in Montreal, qué, Canada and can write in french, english, german, and italian. I am 30 yrs old. I recently began to help the Grande Chartreuse in translating their site in italian; it should be completed in about 2-3 months.
