Rachel Alejandro

My name is Rachel and I'm 24 years old.  I first learned about Carthusians through an e-newsletter I subscribe to that had this website as a link.  So, being curious, I went to it and was totally amazed.  I would like to be on the list.  I have read the others' e-mail and think there is a lot of knowledge to learn from.  I have a few questions first.
I am currently stationed in Germany with the Air Force, within two hours of Kartause Marienau.    I do not have an interest in a vocation, I'm not even sure what that means.  But I do have a love for God, and a willingness to learn, and a longing to see how truly dedicated and commited an individual can be to the same thing.  Just knowing that there are people who devote their entire lives to prayer and study, to communion with God makes me wish God could bless them even more.  But they already have everything they need.  That is the true beauty.

Let me thank you for putting your "Journey"  in a place where people like me can learn about it.  You describe "it" in easy and simple way, just how He intended. Thank you for your experience.  I'll be waiting to hear from you!!
