I am the Coordinator of the Society of Our Lady of the Cloister, located in North Carolina, USA.  Our primary purposes in life are to promote the cloistered, contemplative life and support those discerning a call to such a life. We are currently pulling together materials for a comprehensive website, which would include not only a listing of monasteries by country, but also a book and video list.  Our biggest task, however, is the planning of "Monastic Tours," starting with the United States.   I have read with great interest some of the emails in your "Meet others" column.  I'm also thrilled to know such a thing exists.  I will definitely add it to our "links."   Pax et bonum on this Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel!
