Dear one,   as i'm immensely interested about the Cathusians order I'd love to have some contact whatsoever with somebody else with the same interest.I've always cultivated an inner desire to dedicate my life to God since I was a kid,by the way,I'm 35 years old,italian,but living in Venezuela right now.Following that inner call and for reasons that I'm not going to bother you with,I actually joined a monastic order,when I was 24:the Swami order(ancient monastic order of India),of the Giri branch of Paramahansa Yogananda.After 7 years spent there I've developed a strong longing for a more contemplative life and I decided to leave that monastery to join the Carthusians in Italy:at the "Certosa di farneta(Lucca)". I initially spent a month there,one of the best of my entire life, and  the novices master ,seen my precedent not exactly catholic oriented,advised me to get again in contact with the catholic church and its teachings outside in the world and at the same time come in the monastery for as many week-ends as i wished or festivities.So I've passed many other days in the Carthusians order,then when the novices Master told me to actually join in,I panicked and now here I am. Evidently I didn't have a true vocation,but I still cherised those wonderful days and I still think that the search for Christ in the silence of your cell is the best way to live a life.
